They might have used BTMRR for some sounds but I do know they recorded Space Mountain and used those sounds in the scene.

Technically it's more like a revitalization of an old disneyland e-ticket, and falls more in the category of 'space mountain', 'pirates', 'tikis', and 'haunted mansion'. Sure, it's more ambitious and expensive, but a sub ride in DL doesn't really qualify as "new". The show is new, but the ride is same old same old.

I used to think this as well. But, I believe we'll all be pleasantly surprised next summer.

Nemo Subs will probably have as much in common with the old subs as CTX has with Indy. In other words... not a heck of a lot.

Preferably, something new that follows suit from Star Tours to Indy with the introduction of a unique ride system to the park, i.e. not another dark ride or coaster.

"I think I'm gonna be sad
    I think it's today yeah
The guests are going all mad
    When rides go away.

Oh they want E-Ticket to ride
    They want E-Ticket to ri-i-ide
    They want E-Ticket to ride
    But Jay don't care."

The current building is quite visible from Toontown, where you can see a green wall rising above the downtown facades of the Roger Rabbit building. There are even some strange diamond shapes that appear to have been part of the facade at one point that are now part of the building. It would be fairly easy to turn this into more hills and buildings to surround the land, so I don't think it would nessecarily be the worst thing ever.
