While the Police and Genesis leave me cold, I can understand why their fans would pay similar prices. There's a lot that goes into the ticket price. The promoter has costs to cover, such as rent of the hall and advertising. The band has to pay for the logistical aspects of the tour (hotels, planes, trucks to transport the band's equipment, or in the case of the Stones and McCartney and like the Police and Genesis, custom stages), salaries of all involved, etc.). In the end, doesn't bother me a bit. By way of comparison, last night I saw Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood do their improv act from Whose Line Is It Anyway. We paid $52.00 per ticket. We can't remember the last time we laughed that hard for so long. We were exhausted just after the first 15 minutes from laughing so hard. If was just the thing we needed after some things that have happened lately. You can't put a price on that.

If you haven't, you outta check that out. Nothing like seeing/hearing your favorite band LIVE!

And who cares if we are boring other people, I find this all very interesting

There's a few diff ways that work well getting the recording stuff in, plus they are soooo small now, it's less of an issue. i don't usually bring it in, but the ways my friends have brought them are so funny, all the ways they have tried, very creative i must say. i am not sure what company genesis will use for the live recordings, but that would be cool for you if they follow through because you can pick and choose which shows, for alternate songs and such. not sure what venue you are going to but usually cameras are ok nowadays, as long as it doesn't have the big lense or tripod setup, just don't make it obvious when you bring it in and they don't usually say anything, worst case scenario just take it back to your car, or take out the battery and give it to them and stick extra batteries in your shoe (they'll never find it there) and then put them in when you get in, or do the same with the card.
