I put this in my report, but Tomorrowland is sooo small, that you could stand at the entrance and see everything in it. Its THAT small.

The look itself is fine, but more cartoony than a 'vision of the future', so it doesn't take itself seriously which could be good or bad, depending on how you look at it I guess.

Ha. Leemac is back posting on the Other Disney Destinations thread (at the least), but I don't know if that's because he's back or because he wanted to drum up readership for his periodical.

From the few pics I have bothered to look at, it's too cartoonish for my tastes. I'd rather Disney took some risks and design a TL with a vision of the future, regaless of how farfetched, than what they've got now.

    Technically .. no

But you know what I mean. You can:
    1. stand at the exit of Studio 1 and look to you right and see the whole area
    2. look ahead and see the the whole area and
    3. look left and see the end of THAT area

    DONE

no .. you can see the backlot tour or into the car stunt show or INSIDE a building... but you can see the available WALKING areas into the WHOLE PARK.

    It sucks. Plain and simple.

DCA is 10 times WDSP park could EVER hope to be... granted, the entrance is VERY well done but that's it - the rest is devoid of any charm or emotional triggers - it is just embarrassing.

I want the Paris resort to succeed.

Don't get me wrong, me too :). I definitely prefer's DLP's look 100 times over this one, but at least they *tried* to be a little original ;). Trust me, that's saying a lot with this cookie cutter park. So, I have to give them some kind of credit even if it isn't for everyone.

Wow, I really miss Leemac's defend-the-park at all cost posts here :). Just isn't the same :(.

Yeah, that's what so sad about this area. The place doesn't have a single pathway to anything. It's just one big blah circle. SM on your right, Buzz on your left, a restaurant next to SM and so on. It's beyound pathetic how small this space is. I have no doubt WDSP is sorry beyound belief though (its the ONLY Disney theme park I haven't bothered to see yet....at least I thought HKDL was WORTH a one-time trip if nothing else).

DLP is/was great, but then they tried the same stunt but on a budget, at DL... and we all know what a miserable failure that was. While I do credit the team that did HKDL's TL at taking a somewhat different tack, it's rather like a spacey Fantasyland, then any kind of fantastic Tomorrowland.

Maybe what they really need to do is just drop the name TL altogether and come up with something more apropos.

Kind of exactly like what they did at DLP, by calling it Discoveryland instead of Tomorrowland?
