Makes me think of waiting in que at Big Thunder Mountain Railway! Wildman is off the charts. I was only in his shop once. Not my kinda place to even enter. He is the Grand Dragon of the local KKK.

That museum is SOOOOO much nicer now than when I was a kid. There was even a demonstration of musket loading and shooting, boy were those guns loud!!! I saw references to the Smithsonian in there, does the Smithsonian "own" that place now? It's very nice!!!

Subsequently, they renamed the museum to the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History. They are in the process of expanding again by adding a "hands on" childrens area in the back area of the building. The hands on stuff was all displayed this past summer. They just need to ready the area for it. Another really good museum is locaed at the Kennesaw National Battlefield Park over at Kennesaw Mountain. Its part of the National Park Service and they maintain a "politically correct" museum. This means you won't hear anything about slavery. The gift shop has lots of Civil War era memorbalia as well as stuff on the National Park Programs. Oh course there are still more museums in the area about the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain in nearby Marietta, Georiga.

You know the General Museum would be a really good location for a potential meet, with all that Walt Disney stuff around on display. One of my resolutions this year was to learn to play the dulcimer. I need to find someone local to teach me the ropes.
