Nope - Sarah has and I will get around to it. I used to love HP - but his 'tude in Order of the Phoenix put me right off and I stopped reading half way through. Sarah says 7 is back on form, so I might get around to it again.

So my anger at J.K. Rowling and my love of Star Wars wants Palapatine to win, even though I know Voldemort would probably kick Darth Dideous's butt.

So wands and lightsabers are fair game. But not troops.

And the imperio thing is just like using the force. It only works on the weak-minded (Harry blocked it, remember?)...no way that would work on old ice-vains Darth Sideous!

In a one on one fight to the temporary death I would place my money on Palpatine. The force requires no gestures, words, or objects to function and it warns it's users of impending danger and Palpatine is an amazingly powerful force user. Before Voldemort could aim or say the magic words Palpatine could rip the wand from his hands with a thought(ala Han Solo's Blaster at the dinner table with Darth Vader). He would then be free to kill him with a "flick" of his mind in one of many horrible ways.(Knowing Palpatine I'd wager on Lightning)

This I don't buy. He killed 3 jedi masters in SECONDS not to mention defeating YODA for Pete's sake!

My theory on Windu is that he was faking it to lure Anakin in to "save" him.

As for Vader in the end, it was the Emperors overconfidence that did him in. He just never conceived the fact that his slave would turn on him, so he never prepared for it.

No, Palpatine is one nasty, powerful dude.
