    Oddly enough, on another website, I mentioned the oversell of Nemo, and was told THEY know how to do it, and won't push stuff till it breaks.

    Except they do.

    I know people get sick of stuff. You can only do things so much and then people rebel and you lose your audience.

    I haven't been near the parks since the last time I was in the states, so can't comment on the oversell of brands and all that like others here, but I guess its a no-brainer to say this is nothing new from Disney. They done it time and time again and I think as much as the 'regular' fans hate it, it obviously works! Not agreeing with it, but when you visit the park once or twice a year versus weekly, you just don't like at it on the same level. It's just kind of like, "Wow, Pirates stuff everywhere!! Cooool." (Incidentally, this kind of works on DCA as well ;D)

    As for the over selling of this overbranding and marketing, its when THOSE people start to get sick of it when they have gone to far.

    No, they have not always done this. I think the only exception might be when there is an important anniversary or something. I think the resort-wide Pirate merchandising blitz is unprecedented.
