I understand. Other than Screamin' there is little that attracts me to Paradise Pier.

-I consider myself in the middle. I like DCA alot. I go there when I go to Disneyland most every single time. But I like look at improvements and single out certain flaws that I would like to see changes, like im arm-chair imagineering re-do's. I thin DCA has many good marks. I point them out too. But this thread is not so much about them.

Grizzly River Run (though it could be much better)
And I still do Screamin' when I visit the park, becasue while I don't love it, it is still enjoyable, but if it gets taken down, I won't cry.

But yeah, its been said lol, DCA just manages to hold your attention just a few hours while DL can hold it for DAYS!! I can spend 2-3 days in DL and never get bored (okay, maybe now lol, but not as a kid ;)). DCA seems to be a holdover to walk around, ride the few attractions you like and go to the other side. I would LOVE if there was a NOS or some type where I don't have to ride a single thing, but just soak up the atmosphere for a few hours. GRR is the closes thing for me in that sense, but I'm bored after 30 minutes for some reason. Hopefully all the placemaking we KEEP hearing about will change that attitude for many, especially PP.

I can't get over the latest rumour, the ripping out of the awesome Mystery Lodge to put in another coaster. They are killing KBF

For us that was the winery. It was wonderful to take in Seasons of the Vine over a Zinfandel and then sip a chardonnay on the deck overlooking the bay. To me that was pure atmosphere magic.

No, actually that area is nice. I remember being there with Darkbeer, SuperDry and a few others and we had dinner there and waited the parade, not too bad :).

Second the notion that this was entirely predicated on being a wine drinker. For families there was simply nothing that could compare. Although the Redwood area came close. Especially after they added the area entertainment and some benches. But again, these were added after the fact.

Of course my favorite ride is in NOS, The Haunted Mansion, and it along with another favorite (POTC) fit in this area way better than the areas they are in at WDW.

You sneak 40's into DISNEYLAND? Are you kidding me? If you're going to tell us that you sneak alcholic beverages into the parks at least lie and say that you're smuggling something better than 40 ounces. But, wait, you were just joking, weren't you?

I don't think I've ever seen anyone tossed out of the winery area for not drinking wine. It is also a wonderful place to sit and sip a sarsaparilla while watching the lights of Paradise Pier come on at dusk. A truly sublime experience if ever there was one.

Anyway, portions such as the wine area and Mission Tortilla Factory at DCA seem like an attempt to bring in a different kind of crowd then DL by itself gets. WDW has many things along those lines. Disney to me, is for people who want to escape the ordinary mundane world and go on fantastic adventures, but that is just my opinion. And getting back on topic, visiting a seaside amusemnt park is not a fantastic adventure. Being in the Mad Hatter's Tea Party is.

Alcohol in moderation, particularly red wine, is healthy for you.

My suggestions: Start drinking and dating. That'd be a lot better lifestyle for you than getting bent out of shape over a small area in a theme park.

Trust me on this. Go on a date.
