Then they built a new one for DLP. Maybe it's a typo, but DL couldn't get the new Dumbo in 1982. But I may be wrong on that.

As I recall, it ran into technical problems just a few years after it opened, and had to be replaced. The DLP version, which was essentially the same design, was diverted to Disneyland, and a new one was fabricated for Paris. If anyone has more details to add to this, please chime in.

The seating area is very well done, and I'm sure will be a place that people enjoy spending time in the future.

I really enjoyed the outdoor seating area - much more mush and relaxed than I had predicted. The food court vibe was never that strong for me, but then the outdoor area more than made up for it, so all was forgotten for me.

Glad I was in an adventurous enough mood yesterday to try "Lucky Fortune 2.0" (anybody know why it swapped buildings with the Mexican joint?); usually, if I'm getting Asian food, I get "Mongolian Barbecue" (which is really more "Taiwanese teppanyaki," but that's not nearly so catchy a name), because I'm THE UR-PICKY-EATER, but I decided to try a teriyaki chicken rice bowl, and it wasn't half-bad. Otherwise, if I were to get stuck in DCA again at mealtime (the way I did, the New Year's Eve when I decided to give up my pass if I didn't reach the break-even point), I'd be out of luck.

Quality over quantity. i actually find the fortune cookery to have pretty decent food. I tried the thai curry dish a few days ago and it was great.

Don't get me wrong, I think the exteriors and the grounds are a remarkable improvement over a giant Big-Mac and a tug boat. I was somewhat deflated looking at the pictures of the interior though. Not that I obsessed over the old Pizza restaurant, but the interior of that came across as well thought out and executed. Almost too much where it was an example of misplaced priorities in 2001. It wasn't cheap, that's for sure. In fact, isolated, I kind of liked that building with the beach vibe spin it gave off. The interior of the new building looks to be nice with quality finishes, but the layout leaves me a little cold. Too much negative/dead space, no seating, rudimentary menu board graphics and stations. Will have to see it in person. Overall, I really like what they have done, it is a huge improvement and hopefully they will allow it to stay a nice place to grab a beer and listen to music. Not just be a WDW food court.

Apparently they rushed the opening for the July 4th weekend and more details are being added soon.
