Heck, it costs me more than that to get INTO Manhattan on the weekend. <G>

$5.50 for Verrazano Bridge when I come back to Staten Island ($11.00 if you are not a resident with an EZ Pass)

$4.50 for Battery Tunnel into Manhattan with EZ Pass

$35-$45 - and up - for parking in midtown (no street parking)

I suspect this might be Disney's Best Kept Secret afterall. So in effect they are "selling" a prime FP Pass but keeping it very quiet and sly. Perhaps the guest is hiring the guide and the Guide discreetly asks your favorite ride preferences before your arrival and magically has FPs for the 4 hour tour.
After the miserable weekend that just cost me 3 thousand dollars for 2 rooms at PP and flights and meals and passes for my family of 4 adults and 2 infants to celebrate my grandson's BD I wish I had inquired about the tour guide except for being angry with Disney at the moment...
So has anybody used the 4 hour guide experience at DL or WDW?

    Wow.

I keep forgetting how CHEAP Manhattan is.

($45 will get you perhaps 4 hours of parking in Tokyo ;p)

I love how cheap the trains are too.

I miss NY. (except the Yankees, HATE THEM!)

The VIP tour experience includes perks like this for the $90 or $100 an hour they charge for the 4-hr minimum. The regular park tours like Keys to the Kingdom and Mickey's Magical Milestones use FPs. The VIP tours don't bother with FPs - they're just automatically to the front of the line, usually by entering the exit IIRC.

But 'visiting' an out of the way resort like OKW, CBR or All STars, leaving the car in their ample lots and taking transport.

Have no idea how much it has increased, but when people feel gouged or nickel and dimed they often feel they need to get back at Da Man (or in this case, da Mouse) by things that aren't 'wrong' but stradle the line on many folks' morality meters.
