I wouldn't be happy with the return of the 1967 Peoplemover (Wedway system, boxy, white canapy top, and all) .. or anything that would closely resemble it.

The human imagination is vast .... and so must the number of designs that get concocted in our little noggins.

I wouldn't doubt there are so many cool designs to pick from, from closed doors in Glendale ... but no one person has authority over the other ... WDI these days is a "committy" thing now .. and it takes time for EVERYone to agree on one design.

Hmmm. Coulda fooled me. Sure felt as droll and boring as the Main Street Omnibus.

[Lets get our facts right. :~]

Fact is, barely a soul was riding PeopleMover in it's last decade. And, the same can be said for the empty Wedway People mover at WDW, even on the busiest days.

Actually, the People Mover is still around at a truly wonderful theme park for those who love to fantasize about boring Disney Attactions past!:

Check out the brilliant Captain Eo. I say we push hard to bring back this eye-straining Michael Jackson masterpiece! Or Flight to the Moon! For those of you who need a nice butt massage after standing in line for an hour!

    zzzzzzz.....

Two ..... the Peoplemover in WDW is not the "Wedway" format. It's Linear Induction

Three ... while you are studying the subject, might want to note the huge capacity both Peoplemover's have, and might have something to do with it's PERCIEVED interest!

    And four......
I'm not going to waste my time with some young troll being a negative nelly .... when I have ALREADY covered the reasons for Peoplemover's last 8 years of existance in another topic. Go sifting through the pages here in DL:General for "Peoplemover and Rocket Jets"

    Good ridance!

As for petitions in general, whoever knows. Years ago, I signed on a petition to have the Gummie Bears released on DVD and, whadda ya know? I now have the first 3 discs sitting in a closet at home waiting for Christmas day. Did the petition have anything to do with it? I've no idea. But I guess it might've.

With all the updates that are going on, including that fabulous, breathtaking remake of the Tomorrowland Terrace, I'm not complaining. I think it's safe to say that Tomorrowland is getting the most attention right now of any one land or area in either park. The horrid, weathered Club Buzz is no more. Construction on Nemo continues along with the very intriguing updates spoken about earlier regarding the Astro Orbiter.

Sorry if I wandered too far off-topic, but I felt the need to put this all in perspective.

Well ... I just have to say (after an unusual situation a couple days ago) ... that *IF* :) a new Peoplemover is closer to reality ... then I'm sorry to disappoint those who'd rather see nothing on tracks!

I didn't mean the old horse and buggy technology Peoplemover. I meant that no kind of peoplemover will be coming back.

Wrong. Attaction was even originally called the Wedway People Mover when it opened. Not one change has been made to the ride system since then.

[I'm not going to waste my time with some young troll being a negative nelly ....]

Very common to those who do not want to hear varying opinions. Sad.

[And, frankly, Captain EO was much more entertaining than Honey, I Bored the Audience.]

Hmmm. Bored? Audeines screaming to rats, theaterr getting smaller, snakes, applauding 3-d effects wildly, greatly appluading sneexing dog at end. Doesnt sound very boring to me.

Capt Eo...do not remember one peep in the audience. I did near some snoring.

Capt Eo was a WONDERFUL attraction for a Disney Theme Park!

And of course .. secondly at DL's Peoplemover 1967-1995

Excuse me .. your post was negative from beginning to end. I appreciate any poster who might be negative for the sake of constructive debate reasons ... but you were negative for the sake of being negative.

    buh-bye!

Excellent! Thanks for proving me right, that Wedway is 100% appropriate! Nice of you to correct yourself.

Not ture. I disagree. You dont like. You call me and others you dont like Trolls. Sad.

    Wow. Issues here, no doubt.

[OH Dave ... Care to bring your Red Admin pen in?]

Yes, Dave. Do you really feel post 136 called for? OC Dean telling posters to shut up, when, in fact, I am merely stating my opinion and OC is simply not having a good day?

Um, he did not prove your point at all. If Wedway is defined by Disney as a mechanical system using tires, the PM/TTA electronic system is not a "true" Wedway. But since you made a similar argument with Audio-Animatronics, I could see how you would want to pick another target for your trollish games.
