There have been any number of Disney and Disneyland product lines that haven't sold well, and this line of merchandise has many of the trappings of others that have been unpopular. Maybe the merchandise people didn't go far enough? Maybe they should have just left it at "Parks" (without "Disney")? Then, they could license the design to Knott's, Six Flags, and Sea World. I can almost "quarantee" that those would sell, because, who wouldn't want one?--------Not. To everyyearofmylife: No, I'm not talking about pin backs, but "pinback buttons." The ones I particularly miss are the 3" round buttons--I have dozens and dozens of Disneyland specific ones--they used to issue one (or more) for every new Attraction, every new parade, every new campaign, and for special events. They still create them for many occasions (birthdays, character breakfasts, Earth Day, etc.), but they do not sell ANY at all at Disneyland (I've searched during each trip over the last year). I've been collecting them for more than 20 years and have even branched out to eBay to augment my collection, but they've given up entirely! I guess pin sales and pin trading just squeezed these traditional items out of modern Disneyland souvenir offerings.

Jim, yes, like old campaign buttons. Here's an example (though from MGM): http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/i/08 /33/99/8d_1.JPG Here's another example: http://i8.ebayimg.com/04/i/08/ 28/25/e5_1.JPG I actually have this one in my collection in two versions (it came out in two different color schemes). There are character, attraction, event and promotions buttons, all the 3" round size. Until about 2 or 3 years ago, you could get them at Disneyland all over the place. Now, there are zero to be found.
