Not my favorite movie of all time, and certainly not Oscar worthy, but definitely fun. Much more entertaining than most of the other sequel shlock that studios pump out. It's no Curse of the Black Pearl, but that one was a true gem and one of my all time favorite movies. Dead Man's Chest was ok, but At World's End just dragged. On Stranger Tides is my second favorite of the series. I only wish they would have explained Blackbeard's magic sword. Easiest way to explain it would have been Jack saying something to him like "So, I see you've had dealings with Tia Dalma, too?". Easy, done, on with the movie...

But then I would guess that PoC was way more expensive to produce. And according to that article the stunt show at Warner Brothers Movie World in Germany was actually a copy from the Australian Warner Brothers Movie World.

It's total overall is at 952 million both domestic and foreign. It's going to likely hit the billion mark sometime next weekend. That means it will be Disney's third film in two years to hit that mark. The second in the Pirates franchise and fourth overall. And that cannot be spun anyway but a positive.
