Jack was saying he would be immortal if he stabbed Davy Jones' heart. Why would this not be true of Will also. And if it was true of Will, it wouldn't make sense for him to come back for good after 10 years. It never mentioned that Davy JOnes could stay had his love been waiting for him after 10 years, neither does it say that for Will Turner. I could understand 95% of what Tia Dalma said, but not the deep Calypso voice. Maybe it was a "foreign" language. Did anyone notice there was a marajuana leaf on Jacks flag on his "dingy" at the very end?

Jack's flag has a red sparrow, not marijuana. I'll try to find a picture of it.

I stand corrected on the idea that maybe Will only had to serve 10 years if he was greeted after 10 by his true love. I thought maybe I missed something said, but that is never said in the plot. Perhaps it was in an edited scene. But then again, Jack saved Will from death by giving him the heart to stab. If he hadn't taken over the Flying Dutchman he would have simply died. Still liked it. A lot of people left before the final scene. They should probably have put it in before the credits and done something different after the credits.

They said it is almost impossible to discern because of the cut, and that the only clue left was the final scene after the credits. (The blue flashing light that symbolizes the return of a soul.) They eluded that they intended for Will to be free because his true love was waiting. They also stated that the story line of the opera goes the same- if you do your ten years and your true love is there, you are free. Davy Jone qouted in the movie when talking to Tia, "I did my ten years. Where where you?" She wasn't there and so he was bound to another ten years. I'm just confused as to if Will is free from being the captain, or is still captain and free to go on land. I believe Tia can always appoint another captain, keeping to the Dutchman always needing one. Because they cut the scene that was so important, though, I guess Disney is able to change it up however they want now. Mabey Orlando won't want to do more movies, so they will just keep him bound to the ship. The website is wordplayer.

I looked for, but missed, the two finger pointing, and the shrunken head dangling from Jack's belt. The theater I saw it at was the cheapie in the neighborhood (only $10) and it was playing every 30 minutes. Our theater was less than half full. My daughter meanwhile, went with friends to the good theater further away, and had to sit in the front row because it was packed. It was playing every 40 minutes there.

POTC3 is playing with The Invisible, and per FanBoy's recommendation, I won't be seeing it LOL We also saw Shrek 3 there, along with all the movies last summer (HP, Shrek 2, Cars, Aquamarine, Over the Hedge, Ice Age 2, Happy Feet, etc).

Call me a snob, but I just couldn't handle the thought of sitting there for nearly three hours in uncomfortable cinema chairs, so we're going the recliner armchairs all the way ... my wallet will whack me later for this.

Then in about two years, Bruckheimer will release the DVDs again in the Director's Cut version which show the film the way he intended it to be, with CGI-enhanced footage, and more CGI-inserted characters and bottles of rum. Because of the popularity of the films, we will then be treated to three prequels on the lives of Jack, Will, Davy, Hector, Cutler and Elizabeth and see how they came across before CBP, which is actually the fourth installment of the series. Bruckheimer will then add another set of films to take place between AWE and the end credits. And then a year later, all three films will be released again with special enhanced film and will show a never-before-seen scene featuring Pirate Bill getting the cats drunk.

I guess that's one of the better things about movie theaters in other parts of the world, most places I been to, you ALWAYS have selected seats and don't have to spend an hour in line trying to find a good one . Everytime I watch a movie in America now, it sucks to know that I have to wait just to get a decent seat.
