It will be strange to walk by Rivers of America and see big cannonball splashes coming up. It will certainly add to the chaos of the crowds. That area just keeps getting busier and busier, and this will add to that. Basically, ever since Fantasmic the riverfront has never been the same. I still love the area, but I do think it's just going to be noiser and busier than it ever has been...oh well.

Plus the edge near the Fantasmic! seating, you could put some splash devices in the area, plus aim them to keep the people walking on the pathways from getting wet. And you could have a device in the canoes that would signal the devices to not work when in the area. As for extending hours, very unlikely, maybe earlier in the morning, but they need the time to switch over to the Fantasmic! show, and plus, there isn't much lighting on the island for night time use.

To keep it fairly realistic and also safe, they have a rope-like fuse sticking out of the back end. When you pull on the fuse, it acts like a trigger and makes the sound effect. I'm sure something similar will be worked out for the island, as they already have the design built and operating in a different park.

The guest fires the cannon, a little smoke comes out, and 3 seconds later, the CM in NOS makes the chinmey "collapse."
