You won't see Barbossa until very close to the end of the first sequel. He will be prominent in "Pirates 3", throughout. He kind of trades center stage with another character.

So, that's probably why you haven't seen him in the trailer. i'd love him to be in it though for a cameo. I think it plays in front of Narnia, if I remember correctly.
