DH BBQed hot dogs and did a bit of yard work in between. Our dog is freaked by the BOOM of the towns fireworks so we were glad that we were there to calm her for the 1/2 hour and then the hour after as neighbors did their illegal bottle rockets and such Sorry this is so long! How about a "summery" movie today? Lilo and Stitch comes to mind I haven't seen that one in a long time.

The kid was shot and died later, he was only 20, but a gang member and the police said he had quite a record. So now on the corner , we guess it's his family and friends have made this big memorial to him, the corner is very narrow, only one car at a time can get through, and these people are stopping their cars and getting out taking pictures, someone is going to get hurt big time by a car turning that corner!!!!!!!!!

I would think they have some sort of laws and can at least minimize the distraction. How sad for the kids. I didn't even think about it affecting them so much. Luckily kids really bounce back pretty quick so hopefully they forget about it by the time the next birthday rolls around. Of course it would be easier to forget if there wasn't a big memorial there reminding them. It really makes me mad as this was his own doing. It wasn't like it was a tragic accident. Yes, it was still tragic, but he had control over it and made terrible choices so it really makes me mad that it is affecting a neighborhood that he didn't even live in.
