It was a little slow and boring in there so we decided to find somewhere else to hang out. Bret, who works at Target, wanted to go to Target to buy a razor or whatnot, cause he gets a discount, so off we went to Target. That was a little weird since it was already 10PM haha. I got the Aussie's easter goodies there, and then off we went to find a place to have a few drinks that wasn't El Torito.

We went to a place called Hermosa Saloon. This is a little hole-in-the-wall bar that I used to watch bands at in the 80's. Well, I think it was the same band - boy were they old!! And horrible! So off we went to find another place. We ended up in Manhattan Beach at this cool little place called Jersey's - they are huge football fans there and the drinks were cheap cheap cheap! I think we found our new "favorite" place. Nice people, nice vibe. We left at about 1:30am, and we noticed that right next door is a pizza place that stays open until 2am. That's a nice thing to know if ever food was needed after a pitcher of Hefeweizen.

We took his picture with a lot of the figures in there and he thought that was awesome that you can touch them. After the museum we went to the Arclight to see Water for Elephants. He loved the movie and also loved the theater, but we almost had to revive him when the ticket cost $13.50! Haha! All in all it was a wonderful Saturday for a change!

Saturday the last of our company here for the funeral left. I was glad we had my Mom and sister's birthday lunch to distract us as that made us feel a little sad. Sunday it was rainy and I just laid around and did nothing. I kept thinking of all these things I should be doing that I needed to, but just never got motivated. Oh well.

Saturday my work phone rang at 0800 with an emergency situation I was already aware of and working on... worked all day Saturday, then a 2 hr nap followed by heading out for Nancy's birthday. Had tons of fun!

Sunday, went to work shortly after getting a call from my boss at 0912. Worked all day and then went to the bar I usually hang out at, where I found my buddy Rob (husband of Nancy for those keeping score), so hung out with him for a while.

Today, work, and then the bar, where John, a guy I met last week, asked for my number and was being super flirty. Me likey!

It's so cute, too - Nan and I were talking and she mentioned that the reason Rob may have said something he told me yesterday is because he's a bit over-protective when it comes to me and he wants to make sure I end up with the right guy. :)

Earlier this year I tried to take a vacation in Oct more near to Halloween (as that is my favorite holiday), but I was told that since that was our end of month, I couldn't be absent. Brittany works for me, so I was also told that she and I cannot take too much time off in a row because right now she is doing extra work and I am doing about three people's jobs after our lay-offs.

Anyway, this morning my co-worker sent an email stating that she was taking a three week vacation from Thanksgiving to mid-December. THREE WEEKS??

Not only does this overlap our Nov end of month - but I don't think she's even been here long enough to accrue three weeks. How the heck is that fair?

I am beside myself. Brit and I juggled timeframes for our WDW trip and settled for a 10-day vacation starting the beginning of October. It is much hotter at that time period, but we thought we were being gracious as to not mess up the work situation.

This is amazingly sucky to say the least.

My boss said that she can trust Brit and I to do a great job when the other gal is on vacation because we are reliable and know what we are doing.

I don't know whether to take it with a grain of salt or go climb on the roof and scream......really loud.

I have had to arrange vacations many times around my work schedule including the big December meet as I couldn't get off the week before Candlelight so I got there and saw friends just a little bit and then they had to leave.

We are supposed to have really nice weather this weekend so hopefully, I will get motivated and get some stuff done. It will be hard with it being Mother's Day so close to losing my MIL.

Ok it would have been better to get the vacation you wanted but you have to look for the silver lining ;)

I spent yesterday out looking at wedding dresses with a friend, so much fun! She is having a renewal next year at Disney, but had a 'quickie' wedding first time with no dress or anything, so looking to do it properly this time :)

Today was housework day, boo! Got lots done though, working nights all weekend (Fri-Sun) but it's not so bad because we then head off to Spain to visit BIL for 5 days on Monday :)
