I will take the virtual calorie free cupcakes and hot chocolate please as I am back on my eating plan and back to training today.

In good news I found out today I got a place to do the Great North Run this September, it's a half marathon, really difficult to get into, but I will be there!!! (over 100.000 people applied for 54.000 places)

murfsmom, no chance that we can go to DLR or anywhere further than a couple hours away between mid January and mid April :( Unless we win the lottery :) Then so long clients, I'm going to Disneyland :)

We went to Calistoga yesterday for lunch then a leisurely drive through Napa winery area and back into Sonoma winery area. Hey Sonoma County! Your roads are markedly terrible!! I live in Sonoma County and I think we are one of the worst counties for road repair. Travelers and site seers beware :)

I picked up some virtual croissants, scones and pastrys at Bouchon. The cart is up and running. Help yourselves :)

Smeds, good luck on your two marathons! One day I will start training LOL

I was wondering if anyone here has ever had a moment with a family member that just made you smile? I haven't had one in a while - well, of course I laugh with Ursula a lot, but I mean a good, genuine, you-made-my-day smile?

Yesterday I was making some coffee and my phone rang. It was about 9am-ish, and no one calls me that early on a Sunday. Anyway, it was my dad and my step-monster on the speaker phone calling me from the drag races. They were both giggling and giddy! They had called to thank me for the tickets (I had given them to them for a Christmas present). Apparently the seats were really good, they could see the racers exit the track right by their seats, and they were aisle seats so when the cars left the starting line they didn't have some yahoo in their line of vision.

Anyway, hearing my dad sound so excited and young made me smile all day long. It was awesome.

I'm feeling kind of the same way about our oldest son. Kind of a smile in my heart, right? He is over the moon about a job offer and to hear him talk about it reminds me of when he was a little boy and would come home from school SO excited about something :)

Happy Valentines Day! I know all of us have someone we hold dear in our hearts XOXO Shall we start the day with cake? Ice cream sundaes? Sees chocolates?

Now MM, you be careful. It sounds like a lot of fun.

I am way behind in my movie watching though so I don't know who should win.

MM - I saw that they were announcing the next DWTS cast next week. Oh boy.

I'm setting up a champagne bar with mixers and italian soda's for those piloting the plane.

We saw Hugo, Moneyball (Oakland A's fans:) and are planning to watch The Help on demand tonight. I also want to watch Puss in Boots.

One of our neighbors is nominated for special effects so that's always fun if we can spot him in the audience :)

SO I'm thinking we should have a virtual buffet today. Starting with the dessert bar. A chocolate fountain or fondue with all the dippers, mini eclairs, lemon tarts, mini cheesecakes and a box of Sees candy :):):) what am I missing?
