Bit of a story. My Dad loved lemons. We always had bushes of them that he babied. "Twist them off the tree, don't pull them off" "don't take the ones in the front" and he'd cover it faithfully with a potential frost and water it just right. He passed and my mom was "eh whatever" about the tree/bush and it did just fine. However one year the lemons DID freeze and boy did we feel Dad looking down at us :)

Push ahead a few years and my parents have both passed and the house has been sold :( None of of have a lemon tree/bush because why would we when Dad/Mom always had plenty. What??? buy lemons??? what a concept.

Son and DIL buy a house with a funky overgrown untended backyard. Yep there is a meyer lemon tree/bush. Prolific as all get out to the point that they put bins of them in their front yard for neighbors to take. My Dad would be so proud and I think of him each time I see someone pull the lemons off the tree/bush instead of carefully twisting them off :)

Don't get me started my my mother beloved persimmon tree :)

Sorry you have a red nose smedley. I feel fine but my voice is gone. (My family is probably rejoicing.)
Merry Christmas to all. Anyone else try to get 9 grandchildren to pose with Santa today? I did!
Some lemon and anything 80 proof or better would be good.
