    I am a Mariners Fan....as much as it hurts me to say say it, you may be correct sir. They lost their opener angainst the Angels' but they the 2nd. So far they .500. lol

    Good question Lisann-- I just had it with the selfishness. As you probably know, the Celtics are the greatest TEAM of all time with all their championships. I was always used to the TEAM concept. It just seemed as though the NBA evolved into a "shooting contest." Then when the players' as well as the owners' selfishness promulgated itself with the strike, that was the straw that broke the back.
    I must say I do like the highlights that I see through osmosis as IMHO, they (basketball players) are the greatest athletes in the world. If my son gets into it, maybe I'll follow bball again?

    I would venture a guess that the general public feels that way about all the professional sports strikes > NHL, MBA, NFL and NBA (and yess even Soccer has gone out on strike).
