Also, when I started to read LP before I started to post, I found it to be a rather close knit community and it did take some courage to just jump in and take part in discussions between people who seem to have known each other for years. So this makes that loud behaviour even more suspicious in my eyes. So, welcoming new posters is great, but I think it is only fair to be a bit skeptical of over confident newbies. I know that I am adding to a thread which should be ignored - I just felt that I could add something about that problem on how to treat new posters. Oh, and because ignoring the troll is really hard some times and this was the only place I felt I could say something at least.

Anyway, it took a long time before people started accepting me and responding in, what I like to call, friendly manners. No one was unfriendly, but there was an invisible wall. A lot of the folks that post here are either past CM's or have had the opportunity to get together for meets and so on. The first one to connect, electronically, with me was Tall Disney Guy. Quite a character. Very clever and creative. You will see many of his threads still active and it has been a few years since he last posted on LP. Then there was the love of my life...Pixie Glitter...we were almost engaged once, again electronically, but it was fun. Many of the early posters have gone to greener pastures because they felt that it was getting nasty around here. I agree that the attitude has change significantly since those times, but like somebody said...it would take more than a troll to make me give it to him (or her) and stop my enjoyment just because he (or she) is so joyless. Ignore, ignore, ignore. What the opinion is of a person that we have never met and probably never will doesn't amount to anything. Sometimes they push our buttons, but you know, even if we respond we still come out looking like thoughtful, intelligent people instead of someone that got to a keyboard during a work break from the asylum. If one engages without anger, they always come out on top. (I admit that there have been times that it was difficult, if not impossible, to do that) Anyway, welcome to the boards. If you are who you say you are, you will not have any problems with this crowd.
