I am not so sure about that---- why would the pylons have to be so terribly massive when some of those 6 Flag type 80mph coasters use supports which might be 4-7 feet in diameter?

But even if the supports had to be huge they could have been dressed up with '98 TL rockwork or architecture enhancing the area's visuals not detracting from it.

Then, instead of going inside Star Tours, go just behind it. Those pylons would be hidden behind that building, except for those on the curve themselves - a limited number of pylons could have been camoflaged as barboy said.

By the time it got to the sub area, no one's walking under those pylons anyway.

I'm not envisioning a standard "naked" coaster-track thing. That wouldn't look good. I'm thinking more like the PM's more elegant pylons with a track on top, only with that track (only visible when you're actually on them) designed FOR them, rather than retrofitted to the PM track.

They were built to go fast and be fast for the whole ride.

Again,I remind everybody that this is just something I was told. I have no clue if it is true or not. I am just giving you the info I was given.

Does anybody know anything about this or was it all just a story I was told?

I don't have any objections to a ride being quiet, I don't require a thrill a minute for everything, but not entertaining is unacceptable.

Superstar Limo was embarrassing to ride due to it's sheer corniness and self mockery but at least it wasn't a gross out like Stench.

I guess you missed my post (on the 1st page of this thread), where I said I all-caps LOVED the ride. To make it more clear: it was my favorite ride in the park, and my kid's favorite ride in the park--and if it were still around, it would still BE our favorite ride.
