My son was *very* jaundiced and 8 weeks premature. They were so matter-of-fact about it in the hospital that I never worried, lol.

He's now almost 26 and just fine.

Don't worry (although I know you will). Have a very Merry Christmas!

I am doing ok. I left the hospital early today so I could get home and bake cookies for Santa with Andrew. We then opened gifts. Like I said before I am trying to make this still a good time for Andrew.

Dr said Holly will be able to come home Wednesday. But he is hoping for Tuesday.

Thank you all for your thoughts, It makes me feel so good coming on here and reading all the good cheer

My last was just under 21 in his count too. I never got to take a baby home from the hospital because of this.

What they told me then (things may have changed of course by now) was that once they can get the count to start falling into the teens that seldom if ever does it shoot way back up again.

I am glad that they caught the high count when they did and that things are starting to look brighter for both baby and family!

You'll have Holly back home lickety-split. Enjoy today AND your second Christmas! :)

I spent Christmas Day in the hospital 11 years ago- my oldest son was 2 1/2 and I was having early pregnancy complications with my second son. It was the first Christmas that my oldest son was REALLY excited about Christmas and our first Christmas at our new house. I was so worried plus I felt so cheated. But it made the next Christmas- with my healthy 6 mo. old and 3 1/2 year old- and every Christmas since even more special. It made me very thankful of Christmas all together.

Congratulations on the good news and hopefully you will all be home together soon.

Hang in there, your beautiful angel will be home soon and next year at this time, you will have a 1 year old running around tearing down the tree and presents open :) Thank you for the update and pictures, we are praying she comes home soon!
