Personally I think PI just ran its course. I don't think any substantial changes would have made much difference over the years. Ultimately the DtD format from Disneyland is far more successful by minimising the vendors to restaurant operators and stores. T-Rex is the first of many dining changes that will happen at DtD in the near future.

I also miss the almost exclusively adult atmosphere of PI. For some time it was pretty much 18 and up, with very few people bringing in younger kids. Also, being a South Floridian it pains me when my local Hess station is at least .20 cents more expensive per gallon than the Hess across from PI.

Disney has hundreds of DVC propertys springing up on the other side of DTD lake ( or whatever that body of water is called ). I would think that Disney would create something more like a boardwalk ( I know they have that already ). But by building a larger Atlantic City type boardwalk with a variety of evening venues it would appeal to a larger more diverse crowd of visitors. No reason why you can't have it all in DTD. Personally I like to go to the Marketplace in DTD and shop at night. As I prefer being in the parks going on the rides during the day and saving shopping till the evening hours.

Mannequins still has its backstory (as a former factory) as does all of the other original or near-original facilities. It definitely isn't as obvious as it used to be that is for sure.

Maybe you should still to Sea World...since you seem to have a 'whale' of a good time watching them swim about. >>The thing that amazed me about PI was the complexity of the backstory. When Disney has to come up with silly backstories to merit the existence of a club or restaurant.. well then, what can I say? It's their way of justifying something that has little merit. Frankly, I think you'd enjoy more at P-House sans the fairy tales of long ago...

But for the record, I've never disliked you - I don't even know you. I just disagree with many of your ideas, and I strongly disagree with your bullying tactics. >Maybe you should still to Sea World...since you seem to have a 'whale' of a good time watching them swim about.< I don't even begin to know what this means.

I think DTD Marketplace is great. It doesn't shut down till midnight.... shopping in your downtime! Then the boatride back to the resort.

I just don't seem how a Harley Davidson shop fits into the mix.

But many things are inferior in the USA over what's outside our borders; not just clubs. Even Disney parks are better abroad.
