I never see the polls on this in NY: is this amendment really trailing in the polls in CA? Do you really think it will be voted down, or was that just a guess?

You are right, that was a mistake. I shouldn't have supported is leering statements and talk of bulging. But I do support the rest of his thoughts.

I don't see that. I see disdain for some of your church's ideologies, but that doesn't mean anybody hates you.

And THIS is my point. You DON'T get it. It's your church, not you.

I don't have a link handy, but the last I read, the polls had the amendment losing by about nine points.

Plus if the state that is home to 1 in 9 Americans has equal marriage, and some of those couples move to other states and suddenly "aren't married" any more... pretty soon it's going to be just like the interracial marriage patchwork we had that SCOTUS eventually said was untenable.

Of course, I can leave the LDS church anytime. I'm never going to, based on my spiritual experiences and my studies.

About gad being forever gay and born that way and never able to change, I do not know gad well enough to say.

We're getting into a big different subject here, but you get my opinion on the topic anyway.

I do believe that some people are gay because they are born with same-sex attraction.

I believe many choose that lifestyle for a number of reasons.

Whether or not someone is born with it or chooses it, I do not support homosexual activity. Everyone is born with challenges of one sort or another. That's what it is to me.

I have several gay friends, believe it or not. Some are member of my church, some aren't.
