I think she was speaking to two audiences: (1) Her steadfast and slightly bonkers supporters, saying to them, kindly as possible, to quit screwing around and get behind the Party's guy, and (2) To present to the general audience, which was probably double what it normally would have been thanks to the tireless promotional efforts of the PUMAs, the Democratic Party message in a nutshell. It was a very focused speech. I'm assuming the Fox weenies were pointing out that she didn't spend much time talking up Obama and refuting all those nasty things she said about him. (At least one PBS guy said the same.) I think that was a deliberate strategy. It forces the MSM to pick different soundbites for the newscasts tomorrow.

If Senator Obama wins the race, he can appoint Clinton to a much more influential, useful position than Vice President.
