It doesn't take too long to develope some close friendships and sometimes something more than that. This is one of the few places that I know where others really understand us. We've already discussed "stealing POTC water". Most non-Disney people wouldn't understand but here we all do...and find nothing unusual about it. It's a good family to belong to and it got just a little better when you joined. I'm glad you took the step of faith and decided to go to a local mini-meet. I was a little worried my first time but was pleasantly surprised by how welcome everyone made me. The LP'ers I have met at the meets have become very special to me. Once you meet a few in person, they really cross over the line from friend to family. wonderingalice will be crossing that line in about 9 days You don't owe me anything. You feel like you belong because you do and LP'ers like myself are happy to have you in the family. People like yourself are little rays of sunshine that make LP a much warmer place and we love you for it.

Originally Posted By murfsmom that's great news, my first grandchild was a boy, he's 12 now, sometimes when they get that age they don't want to be around the grandparents so much but jake is is really protective of me and of course i love it !!! just an idea if you want to give the baby something really special ( we did it for their first b day) is get them one share of disney stock. we had one of our shares tranferred over in their name, the certificate is really cute, we had it put in a blue frame for jake and pink when jaynie came along, like i said just an idea !!
