I guess bottom line, the presence of the playground isn't what bothers me. What bothers me is the location...of course there is the question of where ELSE would it have gone in?

The MK already has Tom Sawyer Island with is esentionally a huge themed playground. The MK simply does not need another playground. The lack of intrest in Poo's Playground just further demonstrates what a poor choice it was. I have repeatedly said that in my opinion Mickey's Toontown Faire needs to be torn down and completely rebuild utilitzing the area that encompuses Poo's Playground. Mickey's Toontown Faire is definatley the worst area of the MK at this time. Its "plasticy" look and apprearence, carnival rides et al do not fit with the rest of the park. That entire area was designed to be temporary and looks like its still there well beyond its days.

I think I have sought out almost everything to do and partook of the many pleasures there. Of course there is always something new, many things not even advertised or listed anywhere. That being said, it is a real shame that I have not been over there to the Tom Sawyer's Island, especially being that Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huck Finn are two of my favorite books. I cannot wait until my kids are a little older and then the tours will start!!! Yay! I've never done a tour.

Almost anything else - didn;t have to be an e -ticket would have been a nice addition, this piece of cheapness should have stayed in the box it came it - the trees and grass were nicer - IMHO

If Tom Sawyer's Island were being introduced as a new attraction today in 2006, it would be met with a collective yawn from the average guest -- which probably explains why most current guests don't bother to ride the raft over there now. That being said, I went to TSI during my last visit, and thoroughly enjoyed it! The caves and trails are as great as ever! I didn't enjoy Pooh's playground so much -- probably because I am over the age of 2. Are there about 50 better ideas for the old 20K Leagues site? You bet. I'm sure about 45 of them, even if better than Pooh or TSI combined, would be declared "stupid" by any number of people.

What child wants to play in a run of the mill playground with all of the other attractions in the park. Pooh's Playground was a cheap space filler and is a perfect example the lack of thought, imagination and vision that has permeated Disney over the past ten years. 20,000 Leagues site is a perfect location for a "E" ticket attraction and in my opinion, the lack of interest in developing this area in one of the biggest disappointments at WDW in the past ten years.

But, it is more than sufficient for a 20 minute or so break and that is what some little one's (and their parents) need as opposed to another line or gift shop.

I have never said that they needed to replace 20K with an E ticket - any type of decent attraction would do. A dark ride, if it had not already been there a show like Philharmgic - anything that would ADD to Fantasyland, not detract. Most of the people here who have been posting here for years that have declared the same issues with the Poo Playground, are not posters that complain about everything, or even very much in fact...as more than a few would be accused of being Pollyana's in some respects, yet calling the playground a waste of time and money when it is so, does not make one a chronic complainer

If this happens how long before WDW gets the clone ? Do it now, you will not be disappointed. Aunt Polly's also has great soft serve ice cream on a hot day and nice area to sit in and enjoy it. My 12 year old really enjoyed it last year as we hadn't gone into the attraction in a few years.
