And, at some point, it is either you support it and drink the pixie dusted punch or you make your voice heard that no, it isn't OK that in a restroom at a 4-star (delusional perhaps) resort like the BC, it's OK to have two stalls in a restroom not working and the other out of toilet paper, so PIGS/Guests use the washclothes to wipe their (expletive deleted) and toss them on the floor (yes, this happened yesterday outside Cape May Cafe in the restrooms) where only throwing f-bombs around the front desk seemed to get anyone remotely interested in dealing with this 'crap'.

Honestly, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired and listening to inteligent people defend the status quo ... defending mediocrity ... defending da man.

I can't wait to get the hell out of this country. Seriously.

I think most people here have either given in and given up or totally lost their zeal for life or are just devolving back into apes ... and I don't want to be around to see it.

Oh, and the Soarin films still look like (bleep) at EPCOT ... maybe someone here might contact Danny 'No, I didn't get the job JUST because Lee's my daddy' Cockerell and ask him how that is acceptable.

I'll be honest - I DO speak up about what I feel is wrong in the parks. But I do it HERE, and at Mouseplanet, and at Miceage. My vacation time is way too short to spend time in a customer service line waiting to expound on all I feel is wrong. I'm on vacation to have fun, and I'll continue to do so.

Right, but your voice is heard much clearer if you visit them in person.

I don't do it often, but if something DOES bother me, I do make a stop at GR. It's rare, but it's warrented.

You have to believe you are the descendent of an ape to revert back to being one.

It'll be so much nicer in that progressive country you are going to. Give my reguards to the Chairman. :)

I agree Dan. It has to be very blatant for me to take up my time at the Resort complaining. However I have no qualms about winging-off a couple of letters or e-mails when I return home.

    Sarcasm alert. LOL.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could just realize that the competition of economic models isn't going to really do anything in the long run?

Had a whole debate on this today in History... Corny, but we have to work together, settle differences, advance liberties, and compromise.

That's all I'm gonna say. I like talk like this, but I don't want another writing session, Pierce! LOL.

I do believe in evolution, yes. And I do believe we are headed back ... Heston was right!

I'm planning on going to multiple countries, but I have an idea which one you mean.

I actually hope to talk to quite a few high level folks about many things ... including Media and the Mouse! :)

And thanks for the kind words, all. Reminds me why I usually avoid the WDW topics.

The film is kept in a "clean" room that requires a CM to wear show covers and such to enter. Unfortunately this does not keep the film from picking up ghosts which are small specs of dust that look large on screen because of the imax type technology that is used. The dust ends up between the film and the lens and if you watch the dirt on the film you can sometimes see it move. Its not really the film that is dirty but dust between the film and lens. When maitenance cleans the film they spray air on the lens and the film which is run at a high speed to remove any dust on both.

The film is replaced every several weeks. A replacement film costs $5000.00 and so is only replaced when the film quality begins to fail.

You're welcome to participate in WDW discussions. God knows illogical arguments are valued here.

sjhym, maybe you can comment on what I've posted previously. I have no inside knowledge on this, other than being in the industry and being a good observer. There appears to be a secondary film that runs along with the main film, apparantly used to clean dust and hairs out. It's this clear film which stops from time to time, making not only dust and hair visible but even the streaks on the film itself, just sitting there for about 10 seconds until it starts up again. When it's running the film looks great. When it's not, it looks horrible. Can you provide any more info on what's going on?

The next time I am over at Soarin I will ask a maitenance friend about the secondary film. I may be wrong but I dont recall seeing it.

I do own several frames of the opening of the film that were given to me from a broken reel. That is kind of cool.
