I agree DVC. Perhaps what I should have said is that since SS is built on the former grounds of a Moderate Resort. Guests associate it more with "less Luxorious" accomidations of other DVCs.

it was considered a home away from home location, and not listed as a moderate or a premium.... just as the DVC units are today

Anything left in the Fla heat and humidity will decay.

But the food court/check in building has electricity and water hooked up (I believe) and is used for storage. I'm sure that building is being maintained to a point.

The few hotel buildings are mostly shells, but again, they can be salvaged.

    Exactly.

I stayed there once in a three bedroom villa and it was more like a complete two-level vacation home than hotel (or yes, DVC) accomodations.

It was larger square footage wise than many homes being constructed today in Central Florida, so in no way was it a moderate resort.

    No. None were ever built.

I can't recall what they were themed as.

regarding the buses, there is only one stop at POP Century and it's at the main lobby building. They did an excellent job of keeping the buses queued up in a timely fashion. We didn't have to wait more than 10min to take a bus to the park of our choice that particular morning. Unlike All Stars, Pop Century doesn't share its buses so the folks for Pop Warner were queued up forever it seemed (and yes I could tell they were there for the Pop Warner thing). I'm greatful that disney has more of the Value Resorts because it seems like the cheerleaders and their not so cheerful (ok not all of them but whatever) parents & whatnot were spilling over into the Moderates and it's frustrating when you specifically request a place thinking you won't have naughty folks (chaperones & kids alike) causing aggravation on your vacation.

I wish they could maybe block a speficic wing for the kid conventions.. that's just me though. I like kids but I also like to get some sleep when I'm on vacation and having to get up early to meet with friends for breakie at 7am. Just Saying. ;)

oh and when we go we'll check out the bridge again. Last year they had those planters that divided the bridge about halfway. It's nice to take an evening stroll there at Pop if you stay there. The ducks & fishies need feeding too if they're still there. =)
