I hope she (and you) feel better soon.

Migraines came to mind too...so I will definitley re-echo the trip to a doctor sentiment.
Anxiety is also something that can cause the headaches and vomiting, and for me, when I first started feeling sick out of the blue type of thing (it's all anxiety as I'm high strung too about everything), thinking something was medically wrong just added to the anxiety that was the problem, so the dr. can ease your mind there too by ruling out any other possible medical issues.
    Best of luck!

Secondly, I am still going to have her headaches checked out further, but for now, I guess God decided I was worrying too much because she started having "it" coming out both ends shortly after I posted, LOL! Not that it's funny, or a good thing, per se, but it was a relief of sorts. Everything I'd read about brain tumors (because of course I assumed THE WORST) didn't list 'that' as a symptom -- if you know what I mean! Poor baby was on the potty most of the night WHILE vomiting. Not fun, but I'm guessing Rotavirus is a likely cause. That stuff is brutal... comes and goes -- just when you're thinking you're all better, it hits you out of the blue again. Both my kids had it when they were toddlers, so I remember it well.

For now, she seems completely fine. I'm hoping it doesn't return tomorrow! I worry about sending her to school and either infecting someone or having a bout of it again... but she has been fine since about 2:00 a.m. and eating normally all day. Fingers crossed.

    THANK YOU AGAIN!!! XOXO

And yeah, the "both ends" things is NOT fun. I had that one night in college and drove myself to the ER eventually when it wouldn't stop, and I stayed there overnight gettin' fluids into me. And Christmas Eve Eve night this year, my mom had the "both ends" thing overnight. Thankfully she had stopped by morning and was able to do all the Christmas stuff with us.

I hope she starts feeling much better and that a trip to the doctor will clear things up on a good note!

Definite possibility. I'm highly allergic to a lot of medications, and she's got very sensitive skin and quite a few conditions herself. (Severe reflux, for one.) It's worth looking into.

    >>Is she being bullied at school and afraid to report it?<<

No, thank God. She is VERY outspoken and confident and would gladly put someone in his or her place, lol. (My son is more often the victim of that type of thing, unfortunately.)

    >>>Have you done any painting or carpet cleaning lately? Maybe she's hyper-sensitive to those fumes, or maybe mold somewhere... school, church, friend's house?<<<

You know, we have been painting and just got new carpet *but* the headaches started before all that. Still, it's definitely something worth mentioning to her pediatrician. You never know!

Lastly, I suffer from anxiety myself, and she's cut out of the same cloth, for sure. I'm really leaning towards that if the doctors can't find any other obvious causes (allergies, reactions to foods/environment, migraines, etc.).

    Thank you all again!!!

Ahh, a little Julia Sugarbaker in the making. She'll be "terminating" lowlifes right and left. ;-)

Not that I'm glad you have the issue with anxiety, but I'm glad you know about it! I went for alot of years with anxiety issues before they figured out I wasn't nuts ;o) Best of luck!

But for god's sake, take her to a doctor.

You need to make an appointment tomorrow. Not "mention it" to the pediatrictian.

This needs to be taken care of.

My son has had a some headaches in the past 6 months, and I immediately
think and thought the worst. He sounds a lot like your daughter in that he puts a ton of pressure on himself. Although he's kinda standoffish and in that respect he sounds more like your son. He's a combo of your kids! Lol. I really think his headaches are stress related due to him pressuring himself and some home stresses. I really doubt it's anything too serious with your daughter. A doctors visit wouldn't hurt, though. (I don't think 'tomorrow' is so necessary.)

My heart goes out to you, and my head is right with ya! Lol. Give her some special hugs from her friends at LP.

    :)

And, TDG, sorry about your mom! That is so miserable, especially at Christmastime.

Jonvn, I have it handled. My pediatrician is on vacation, and I have her home number (have for 11 years now -- in fact, I've BEEN to her home for appointments twice now). As soon as she returns, we will be seeing her. I'm about as conscientious a mom as they come; no need to assume I'm taking anything lightly. I've been through too much in my life to take *anything* lightly (hence the anxiety). Thanks for your concern, though.

That's another reason I'm guessing it's anxiety related. Why would she never have the headaches at home -- you know?

Anyway, thank you so much. Hugs to your sweet li'l guy!
