Not much happens for the bulk of the first movie. New characters, cannibals, a major new locale, and Orlando Bloom gets virtually nothing to do. They have to have him there, but he has an embarrassing lack of function in the film. Then, in the last twenty minutes of the script, things get really ramped up... there's a HUGE twist that's going to tick off probably everybody... for a while. It's a big deal for one specific character. Then another surprise right toward the end of the film... that turns us into the third film, which is pretty much just starts where the second one leaves off, and puts another character (not Jack) in the driver's seat for most of the third film. And that's enough to tell without spoiling much of anything. I'm not around ... don't even lurk anymore... life got busy in a good way... life got very "animated." Bye!
