They were going to move her yesterday to the surgical floor but changed their minds. She has been alert and talking. She's wake about 4 or 5 hours out of the day, the rest is spent sleeping. As of right now she in no better, no worse. It's still very much touch and go even though she is breathing on her own. She has no memory of the past 30 plus days, she had no clue she had surgery. Last thing she remembers Jerry Springer was still on Dancing with the Stars and it was still the baseball playoffs. Keep praying for her, we are not out of the woods by any stretch of the imagination. My family is at the hospital in shifts now. I've finally gone back to work. Working short days or arrving late. Thank god I have a patient and understanding boss. ;>

No memory of all the days in the hospital, no memory of surgery . . .it's been 4 years now since the episode with my aunt and I still sit and tell her all about it because she can't believe all that happened to her. It's wonderful to know you all are at peace. That's the only way to see this through. The ups and downs take a huge toll. But boy, aren't the ups fun. What a wonderful story of a family's love for one another.
