You missed the point. She doesn't have to "get elected", just impeach bush and cheney. As speaker of the house, she automatically becomes president without a single ballot cast.

A democrat led impeachment of Bush in 2006 would just make American politics even uglier.

We all know the circumstances surrounding the charges for clinton's impeachment, so let's not rehash it all again. Suffice it to say that some people were appalled, but most didn't care.

With bush it's a completely different situation. The charges would be pertaining to malfeasance of office and/or abuse of power.

Also, it is the job of congress to act in an oversight capacity of the executive branch. The current GOP led congress has not fulfilled that role. In fact, much of the current corruption is within congress itself.

It could be argued that the current 'ugliness' is directly traceable to the GOP. I don't believe this country has ever experienced this type of divisive and polarizing political shenanigans in its history.

I'll say one thing though, bush promised to be a "uniter" in his 2000 acceptance speech and he had some golden opportunities to do just that. He did the opposite. But it's all worked out - now americans are all united against him. Funny old world.

    gadzuux?

Instead of these impeachment fantasies that would put my man Cheney in charge, you might want to get your excuses ready for the next lost election coming up soon.

You can always go to the " voting machine was rigged " card. That's one of my favorites from the tinfoil hat crowd. :)

it can also be traced to the liberal media and the spin on everything, as well as certain divisive Democrats like Teddy and John Kerry - Pelosi and countless others. To blame one party for the issues that exists is to have one's head stuck in the sand -- there is plenty of blame to go around on both sides and most people are sick of it-- as well as sick of the pointing the finger at one party like they are the bad guy and the other party is Johnny Angel...
right now politics is full of scumbags out for themselves on both sides of the political fence.

And wastes of human space like Michael Moore on one side and Pat Robertson at the other end...those are the problems..

Kerry, kennedy, pelosi and others are not in power - they have little to no ability to enact policy.

Yet when you look at the tactics of the republican party, through karl rove, it's clear that their was a deliberate strategy to divide the electorate. Wedge issues like gay marriage, immigration, abortion, and the vietnam war were used by the GOP to paint the opposition as godless unamerican heathens. It worked among the more gullible - beau is still posting to this day about what a fairy lovin' traitor john kerry is.

To these folks, bush is a common man of the people, a war hero, a role model of holiness and spirituality, and a decisive visionary leader. Never mind that there's years of solid reporting available that show he's actually a coddled scion draft-dodging alcoholic failed businessman with the moral compass of a career criminal - they don't want to know those facts.

It's easy to dismiss this as "finger-pointing" or sour grapes, but facts are facts, and putting them out there in public view isn't doing anybody a disservice. You can lead a horse to water ...

I quit drinking before I crossed that invisible line as I think George quit when he actually WAS an alcoholic. It's too much to explain as it takes years of study Gad. I think you should really think twice before posting about stuff you know little.
I hope you DON'T get redded out so people can see the ... I won't say it.
