    Actually, I HAVE stayed the hell out of the south all my life -- precisely because southern white guys scare me.

    As a group, you don't have a great track record for tolerance.

Personally when I came out I discovered that I was ready but discovered that many family and friends were not ready to hear it. I guess my bigger concern here is that there are times when I really find "our" society to be overtly sexual. I prefer not to discuss sexual matters with co-workers and such. Its unprofessional and unless I'm dating them ( which I'm not ) then it has no bearing on our friendship. I don't particularly feel obligated to satisfy someone sexual curitiocy by revealing my sexuality. Dear Society: stay out of my bedroom!
