Its the town at the highest elevation west of the Rockies, smack dab in the heart of gem stone and minerals all over. Fun things to do up there are to take quests to nearby Franklin, NC with its streets literally paved in Rubys. There are antique shops to explore, panning for gold in nearby streams, hiking, canoeing, fishing, bird watching. I just like to sleep in late, grab a good book, stoke up a fire in the fireplace and sip a good drink. There is also Ashville which is nearby to explore too. OK, back to the city. There are some really good resturants to bring people to. Henry's Cajun Grill is always a top pick. Here in Kennesaw there is the General Museum, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, 6 Flags Over Georgia. In the springtime around Easter I like bringing people to Calloway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA its about 60 minutes away, just think Azeleas! Biking on the Silver Commet Trail in Rockmart, GA ( know for its slate quarrys ) is great in the fall. There is the Atlanta Aquirium. Lots of things to do.
