My 7th birthday party was themed, Beauty and The Beast. My parents hired a Belle and Beast. We danced, played hide and seek, got our faces painted. Belle brought one of those musical Beauty and the Beast books, read it to us and I got to keep it. We had just moved into this house so the garage was empty, so my mom bought paint stirrers and googly eyes adn feathers and made a bunch of those feather duster characters for us to play the cottonball game with. I loved all my themed parties. Also had a Pink Ladies and a Lion King party.

For my 18th my mom and I went to Disneyland! No explanation needed there really, haha. My birthday wasn't until the 12th but we went after Christmas/for new years. We were by Small World for the New Years Rockin' Eve and my dad said he saw us on tv. It was a lot of fun except for the day we were celebrating my birthday, I really wanted to stay to closing, my mom wanted to go back to the hotel for a while but she pulled a fast one on me and we never went back to the park. Oh she got the silent treatment, I sat out on the balcony and moped like there was no tomorrow, LOL!

The one birthday that sticks out the most is my 30th. My birthday is in March and I went out after work (when I was working) with a bunch of co-workers. I had tons of green beer and about five B52 shots. Needless to say at around 9:00pm 2oony had to drive the 25 miles to the bar to pick me up (of course, he had 14 month old 2oonlet1 with him.) the next day was my birthday and 2oony and I went out for a great evening in San Francisco. By that time, my hangover had subsided.

I love, love, love birthdays and have been lucky enough to have a few good ones. :)

My 6th birthday was hugenormous and held at a local park in that fabulous place I grew up in glorious sunny southern California (Yay!). My older cousin and her best friend dressed up like clowns and entertained us all. We had three-legged races, potato sack races, a pinata, water balloon toss. It was a freakin carnival! I loved it. Two of the best things I remember are: 1) A Cinderella birthday cake (and this was way before any of that "princess" stuff came out - cause I'm old ya know.) and 2) the skeletons behind the stage door that you could see through the old creepy peephole. You couldn't really make them out to well and at 6 years old we were all totally convinced that they were real and we had just made some horrific and ghastly discovery. Of course we told no one. lol.

My 10th birthday. I had a wonderful teacher named Mrs. Dow. The woman was the most saintly angel I have met to this day. She loved children and she somehow managed to make each of us feel as though we were her favorites. She didn't know it was my birthday that day but when she found out she disappeared for a few minutes and then came out with a crown she had made with a beautiful glittery star with the #10 on the front. I felt so special that someone would do that for me. She was a very special lady.

My 16th. I can't say why but it involved a very funny and very risque waiter at El Torito in...I think it was Redondo Beach. It had to do with the Halloween costume he was wearing and what was hanging off of *it*.

My 21st. Found me in Colorado. Where the drinking age is....18. Man! Never could catch a break that way. LOL

My 30-somethingth found me in South Carolina a month after Sept 11. I was on a business trip so I didn't have any friends or family with me and things were still pretty surreal in life as I know it. But the one family tradition my totally nutso insane family (my bio family - not DH) has is that they ALL get on the phone and call you and when you say "hello" they break into the Happy Birthday song. I never heard a sweeter sound than that.

Then there was that birthday at Knott's Berry Farm when my cousin fell into the cactus bush or the backyard party where some neighbor girl went OFF on my little cousin so I slapped her. That'll stop a party. lol. I was like 7. I didn't know any better. (I can be a little mamabearish at times I guess.)

Lots more but this post is waaaaaay too long already.

I really enjoy reading everyone elses stories! Keep 'em comin'!
