The Cove Bar is known for its views and was recently expanded, but I've never been overly impressed with it. My personal favorite is the upstairs bar at the Wine Country Trattoria. It's location is somewhat hidden (no need to check in at the restaurant, just walk up the big flight of stairs and go to right) but I've spent many hours there. The elevated location gives you a unique view of the parade route, the sunset behind Paradise Pier, and you can even see most of the WOC fountains And of course the downstairs lounge at Carthay Circle makes a fantastic Manhattan, but they've recently had queues just to get inside. At least that keeps it from being too crowded once you're in

Great food and drink, good (if not the best) view of the fireworks, and elbow room too. I don't remember when your trip will be now, but you can make reservations for Carthay in advance. I believe you can request an outdoor table, but they don't guarantee it... perhaps someone else can chime in on that one.

Finally we watched the DL fireworks from Main Street but some trees obscured our view of the actual fireworks themselves so we thought we might try and catch them the following evening. A CM suggested viewing them from outside the Pizza Port in TL and although you don't get the full show for the just the fireworks it was a great spot!!!
