No updates yet on my friend and her twins, prayer chains have been formed and everyone is waiting for good news.

As for our LP Jamie, Doug please let us know how things went and if you guys got any info/theories/notions etc...hoping for some GOOD news as far as a diagnosis that points to a relatively minor and easily treatable condition!

(btw, did you ever get any sleep dude? if not, make sure to take good care of YOURSELF too, I know it's not easy under these stressful circumstances)

I do. I sleep here in the hospital room, I do my best to eat on a regular schedule, and I get out and walk whenever I can. I also still run Dad's taxi service, so that keeps me out and about as well.

It's the uncertainty that's getting to us. (And I know Mr. X can relate to THAT!)

Doug, driving in SoCal traffic is NOT exactly "restful" unless you nap in traffic jams.

You can say that again! But I get all the "restful" I need waiting in the hospital.

Also, preemies end up being a little behind developmental wise for the first year. But after that first year they were completely caught up and after 6 months were perfectly healthy.

I hope everything works out and both she and her babies are okay.

Also, Doug, my thoughts are with your wife. I hope she ends up being okay.

    I sure can!

Let's hope that goes away for both our families very soon!

I got an update from her ex-spouse (but still very close with her)...she is in the hospital for the duration, total bedrest, the docs are trying to keep those kids in the oven for 2 more weeks if they can. Let's hope they can do so!

I was shocked to hear about Jamie here. I do hope the doctors can find a diagnoses soon. Our best to you all.

    Thank you Ann!

If I hear from her, or her ex (both are FB friends but I don't know any of the rest of her family or any other sources for updates), and hear any questions I'll pass them along!

For now, since I composed this message she has "gone dark", which is understandable to say the least. I hope she is resting comfortably and that her kids have decided to stay in the pool a while longer!

Haven't heard any more word from her ex either. I'm hoping that no news = good news.

    Nor I.

And I know she's been through a lot, having gone through a period of deep depression when she had a miscarriage. Being with child once again, with twins, has been both a blessing and a dreadful fear for her, and I worry deeply that she feels her fears are coming true again! (I dunno if I should mention this or not, but it seems appropriate to fill in the entire picture, she does have a beautiful son who I'm sure is at her bedside, I'm not sure how old but I would guess 4-5 or so these days...sadly we've not kept in touch as much as we should have over the years!)

***We will be keeping the best posible thoughts for a good outcome***

    Thank you!

***I was shocked to hear about Jamie here***

Me too! I've "known" her on LP, though we haven't chatted all that much, but I do remember vividly our conversation on Doug's cellphone when he called her up from the Cove Bar way back when and let me talk to her (little did *I* know they were dating and soon to be married!!! I'm pretty sure Doug DIDN'T mention THAT at the time lol).

***I do hope the doctors can find a diagnoses soon***

So many answers to this comment are flowing from my brain right now...from "me too!", all the way to "if they don't, I'm flying to Anaheim tomorrow to punch them in the face, so I can grab their microscopes and do it myself!", but it all boils down to "please get well soon Jamie!"

    I hope so!

Doug, you know where to find me.

I hope for the quickest, best results for you guys, and if not I'll come to Anaheim and punch the docs and grab their microscopes and do it myself! :)
