But we were able to make same-day lunch reservations for 7 at 11 o'clock on two separate days.

    We're now big fans of the Plaza.

    Marty, I think you may be confused - we're talking about the Plaza Inn, right on the Hub. It sounds like you are describing the Carnation Cafe on Main Street.

It truly was a gem and a pretty good value..I have eaten there about four times in the last three months, but did not for my last two outings in the park. If it is true that they have gone to plastic plates and silverware, well that will be a dissapointment. Not to mention that it will detract from the interior charm that The Plaza offers diners when you sit inside.

    But Carnation is a wonderful place to eat, I agree.

    The Plaza Restaurant at the MK in WDW is basically in the same area as the Plaza Inn in DL; it's at the end of Main Street, by the hub. But it's a different menu. The Plaza Restaurant only has sandwiches and burgers, while the Plaza Inn has fried chicken, roast sirloin, and pasta.

    And if Plaza at WDW only serves sandwiches, and burgers seems silly to have full service where counter service might work without having to pay a tip.
