I also see nothing wrong with people volunteering just to get the free tickets. The end result is still that charities get some help even if even those who volunteer are lazy they get publicity within the community which is often half the battle. Of course this helps the bottom line, but from where I'm sitting very few businesses do charitable work for nothing whether it be publicity or tax breaks. From my own point of view, chances are I'd be going anyway so it's unlikely this would make me spend much more at the park. I'd be happy to do this in return for a special screening of Toy Story 3 somewhere or some such. Perhaps this would be more acceptable to those who are down on this?!!!

I went to 3rd period(which i am in right now) and asked the teacher next door if she had any copies. She asked me all about it and invited mwe this Christmas to help out with her at a soup kitchen. I think this promotion is gonna do great after all of these posts and by what I have seen at school.

In the sign up form, you can select your area of interest, from hunger/homelessness to animal welfare/ecology to technology/education (and others).

I am sure that will change by January, no way could they not have something in California.

This could be campaigning for public causes (like Disney is doing here); have environmental codes of practice such as aiming for carbon neutrality within the contractual timeframe; the hiring of appropriate candidates with disabilities, return to work parents, care leavers, training schemes etc.; allowing staff time off for volunteering during work time (we alloted points based on how many days per year, per employee were awarded) as well as donations (the area we attributed the least value, but still gave points). It was an awesome programme that I have now handed to someone else because of employment changes, but I cannot wait to see if our hypothesis is correct on the environmental, deprivation indicators, commercial impact to the public sector and the market place. So, I am very pleased with this promo, much more than the last few years, and I do think is strikes a chord with the current climate too. Also, it is another step closer to hopefully eroding the sickening entitlement factor society has been succumbing to.
