As for the cost- I can seriously tell you I think ALL of the grocery stores here are overpriced - not quite as bad as Goodings in the crossing - but not that far off.

The original one of the best ever. Ol Blue Eyes favorite rib joint here was a bar called Twin Anchors - down near the lakefront- still outstanding- if ever here it is a must do restaurant http://www.twinanchorsribs.com/ web site playing Frank music

But for those wanting a high end meal superior to any available on-prop aside from Cali Grill and V$S'a. There is The Venetian Room at Caribe Royal Resort, http://www.thecaribeorlando.co...an-room/ and Norman's at The Ritz-Carlton http://www.normans.com/home.php There are also tons of other great places like Ocean Prime http://www.oceanprimeorlando.com/ Oceanaire Seafood Room http://www.theoceanaire.com/ Capital Grille http://www.thecapitalgrille.co...Main.asp Emeril's Orlando at Universal CityWalk http://www.emerils.com/restaur...Orlando/ Emeril's Tchoup Chop at The Royal Pacific http://www.emerils.com/restaur...up-Chop/ The Palm at Hard Rock Hotel http://www.thepalm.com/Orlando BiCE at Portofino Bay Resort. http://www.orlando.bicegroup.com/ For those that claim that dining is a big part of thier Orlando vacation experience these are all options that should be explored. And you don't need to make ressies 180 days out. Unfortunately they don't take DDP. Oh well, I guess no one will try them as Pixie Dust isn't included.

DDP homogenized Disney Dining.

Originally Posted By danyoung >At what point to you cater your menu to "public demand" or when do you say "this is what we offer take it or leave it"< That's an interesting point. With the changing of the menus, in theory Disney is more or less adjusting things to their demographic of their diners. And who's to blame them? The sad thing is that the menus are mere shadows of what they used to be. Perhaps the current clientele is happy about that, but I for one am not. But I hasten to say that I still almost always find something on the menu that works for me, and rarely have a bad meal at a Disney restaurant.
