The North Dakota thing is new and I'm not a good representative as I'm pretty grouchy about it. I don't want to diss anyone's state. It can be very pretty, and the folks are nice and very sensible so economy is still good. But of all the small towns we've lived in, this takes the cake on limited restaurants and entertainment - and I grew up out in the country! Most places we could at least drive to the "big city." Here, 50 miles from the Canadian border, I am just glad we have an airport so I can fly to Orlando and Anaheim! In January/February, the weather was dismal for our WDW trip for the second year in a row. But this year I didn't care because I still could shop and eat, and eat, and find lots of things to do (and eat!). Trying to be a good sport, but failing.

As for the kilt, no I did not go commando ( again thank goodness). And actually no one in EPCOT really cared except the female cast members like that girl operating the River's of Time ride in Mexico who wanted to see what was underneath. I was wearing the black leather kilt with a tiger striped military tee shirt and New Rock boots ( no spikes ). There was one funny situation when my party got on the single rider line for Test Track. I was thinking it wasn't going to be a big deal, they would more than likely place me in the back somewhere. So this car pulls up filled with a family of 5 and they have me sit in the front right hand side... again no big deal ( right)? Well, my knees were in my face.... < spoiler alert> when the car went outside and was reentering the building going down with the photo camera pointing up and then FLASH. So, me and the family go walking into the building and there it is splashed on the big screen me in my jockstrap. That was one picture which that family was NOT going to be buying.

And Mrs. Pierce says that's all you wear ... very troubling! >> Ah ... finally something we agree on (beyond refillable mugs!) ... I just had Chik-Fil-A two hours ago ... Mighty tasty ... and $14 for two ... still a bargain compared to Disney (you do know there are two located within five minutes of WDW!) << <<They slice their potatoes funny, and who sprung for the $14?>> I sprung ... >> So yes, I would much rather eat a burger at Pecos Bill's instead of a "turkey" sandwich at Subway. << <<I may be the only person on LP that has never eatten at Pecos Bill's.>> You aren't missing much, although it is by no means awful. I was taught a great way to buy a very inexpensive meal ... fries plus topping bar plus salad dressing equals $2.50 of fast food bliss ... add a Coke and it's still only $5!

Some are just amazing (like V&A's, California Grill, Bistro de Paris), but others are really pretty average and get all the accolades because they are part of the magic of The Walt Disney Co! << <<You can get better meals in much smaller towns in Texas than at WDW, but you can't get the Pixie Dust.>> Pixie dust can be very overrated.

If I want to eat chicken nuggests, and cheeseburgers, and pizza. I know where to go. Every restaurant has a menu posted outside, and all over the internet, so it's not like the food is a great big surprise once you get there. I can even understand having a childs menu with hot dogs, and burgers, and PBJ. What I can't understand is totally destroying the menu for adults who want to experience something different. That's why I lay the blame squarely on the Mouse's shoulders.
