Oh, how I'd love that day.

Loved your post #51 SFH. One thing I'd add to it is that when I see Dad taking a picture of the family in front of Sleaping Beauty's Castle, I'll go up to him and ask If he'd like to be in the picture too, and I'll take over his camera and get the entire group in the photo. Once, someone was a little suspicious, so I let them hold my camera for 'ransom' while I took the shot. Most people are very grateful.

Yeah, I get some really nice cameras that way. One time I walked up to a foreign guy taking pictures of his family and jestured that I take his picture with them. He politely refused, but I politely insisted.

So he shrugged his shoulders, handed me the camera and got in the shot. After I took the picture I walked up and handed his camera back to him. And he proceeded to hand the camera to someone else in the group, shook their hand and walked away.

Then it hit me that he wasn't with that group, he was just being polite and simply taking their picture. Now that's the Disney way.

    I COMPLETELY agree.

I dread what will happen when I take my partner next year who is a complete Disney noob - in fact he has never been to ANY theme park. I used to be the kind of person who "suffered in silence" but have gone the complete other direction in the last few years.

I feel sorry for the AP weinies who will be with us in the HM for his first time who decide to recite the spiel.

Oh goodie, a pissing match. Just remember, the ceiling gets higher and higher and harder to hit as the spiel continues on.

I don't know if you can pull it with your schedule, but going during a weekday in non-peak times (not around spring break, summer, or Christmas/new years) would probably really cut down on this. The folks who recite things all the time tend to have day jobs like the rest of us, so they aren't there as much during the week. Weekends will also generally be busier (hence, less fun overall experience), but they do also have some more entertainment offerings, so you might want to keep that in mind as well. Either way, I hope it works out well for you guys!

That being said, if I was ever asked to be quiet I would more than happily stay silent.

Nobody will ever tell you to stop because they are too polite.

Oh yeah! I always say the spiel to my self or to the friends I am with. I would never try and make the show about me.

I'm politely asking you now, for the sake of other's enjoyment, please stop reciting spiels. Thanks.

Could you imagine such a request made in Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room? Or even in It's a Small World?

    Not hardly.

The most memorable times I have had in Country Bear Jamboree were definetly when the whole audience got into the spirit and indeed stomped their feet and clapped their hands.

I guess what I am saying is what's worse than one guest reciting Thurl Ravenscroft's spiel in the Stretching Room, would be another guest letting out some loud and sustained shush.

I find that particular sound extremely annoying and equally rude. So why feel the need to compound the situation?

Let the CM in the Stretching Room do his/her job. They will say something if the situation becomes intollerable.

That's different than being inside a "haunted house". The show was called a jamboree so stomping and singing along was encouraged. Singing along to a song is different than reciting an attraction spiel word for word.

Exactly Tasha. I was in the steam room at the gym recently and believe it or not I heard a cell phone ringing! I turned around and saw through the thick mist a woman reach into her bag (yes, she had a bag in the steam room), pick up her phone, answered it and started a conversation. Unbelievable.
