Broadcast cameras were the same way. I think I'm a couple inches shorter from my years traveling around the world with a 30 pound deck on my left shoulder and a 20 pound camera on my right!

Remember when a specific WDW landmark was a pink cake? My hands were just shaking as I typed that. We were there with our infant daughter who had colic and was a screamer.
Before, during and after that WDW trip we were in a daze of disbelief at all the screaming, then the castle is pink. It was like some nasty alternate reality.

My wife and I would sing this to each and laugh out loud. It was simple fun. This thread is kind of bittersweet. Somethings have been replaced and maybe they should have but gosh darn it I liked them.

    (sorry wdwfan2, could not resist :p )>>>

I will be in MK on the 30th of March.. I will take a good hard look.. There is one thing I've been thinking.. Being that your at the park as a CM or visiting there practically every day, since you live so close.. Do you think that the more often your there, the more negatives you see.. The average guest visits less then once a year or even once a month like I do... Odds are, if you spend large amounts of time in MK your bound to see more then the average guests do...

I can spot negatives as well at TDR when they grab my attention, but they are so so so so so infrequent over WDW's regularly frequent and very evident problems. Sorry if some of you get offended by it but I am just stating facts on what I see at both WDW and TDR on a regular basis.

I actually don't have a problem with this, as the gates are in no way intrusive to my enjoyment of the attractions. Unlike those stupid safety warnings at the beginning of Spaceship Earth, which totally distract from the immersion in the ride story.

    >Do you think that the more often your there, the more negatives you see..<

Bingo. I was just there 2 weeks ago, and saw absolutely nothing to indicate that quality and cleanliness were declining. I wasn't going out of my way to look for it, but I wasn't wandering around with Disney pixie dust in my eyes, either. Every place - EVERY PLACE - will have times when something slips, when someone misses a round, where things get out of whack. But I just don't see the epidemic.

Hey, I'm long past being offended by you, my friend. And as I've said many times before, we need many watchdogs to keep the Disney bigwigs in line. But where we differ is in the degree of any kind of problem. You will actively recommend that others stay away from the MK due to its filthiness and the general shabbiness of the place. And I very strongly disagree with that, and can disagree from the viewpoint of a very recent visit.
