Originally Posted By TDLFAN >>The MK isn't filthy. Sometimes it is very clean. Sometimes, in some areas, it is dirty and poorly kempt.<< That's true. On days when I have been to the MK (usually on slow days with minimal crowds) I have found the park to be clean and nice and have reported it here via photos and/or written reports. Funny how many of you miss then positive WDW reports from yours truly. But on crowded days.. custodial cast can NOT keep up with the supply of trash left over by guests, in part because of poor staffing. Staffing is what makes TDL's Custodial staff so efficient at their jobs...since you can sount 5-10 custodial CMs with one sweeping 360 degree look around you, which is hardly the case at WDW. >>Nope - that's your perception. You can't say something is a fact until you have quantifiable evidence, not just your own observations. Your perception is probably accurate, though.<< Dan, your statement is evidence of what guests do care to see or not care to see at all. I think my many pictorials here support the drop in standards on cleanliness at the MK...of course, I get a lof of grief from you and many others because YOU CAN'T FACE THE TRUTH or DON'T WANT TO SEE IT. Understandable...since you are on vacation and do not care to find faults in a place that remotely resembles your daily surroundings. I do not know how many times I will say this but I never go to the MK in hopes of finding problems... they just so happen to be so evident that it must be brought out to light, especially in light of how much we love this place!!! That is the pain we, true Disney lovers, have to endure and comments like yours who aim to discredit others like Dat or myself add to that pain. When Dat or myself say something is a "Fact" is because we have been around long enough to talk from repeated experience, especially since we are locals to the resort. You are just an oftentimes visitor who are here to enjoy your vacation and not much else. Stop discrediting others just because you don't have the experience with WDW that some of us have... especially from within since I was a CM during WDW's golden days in the 70's and 80's. >>What would you call WDW then?? Am I leaving myself open or what?? << wdwfan1, anyone who is knowledgeable about Disney advertizement slogans would know this.. DL= Happiest Place on Earth. WDW= (then) All the Fun in the World/ (now) Where the Magic Lives. TDL= Kingdom of Dreams and Magic DLP= (then)Relevez la Magique/Need Magic??, (now) Believe in your Dreams. HKDL= ??? Not sure this park has a slogan of sorts yet but will find out when I return there in April.

But my perceptions/opinions are based on years of experience and knowledge of WDW's inner workings. So if I say the standards have dropped in a very big way in the past 10-12 years, that is my opinion. But if I say, for example, that WDW used to do nightly pressure cleaning on walkways and does not do so now, that is a fact backing up my argument. Or if I say WDW never had frontline CMs wearing Gap polos with MK stenciled on in every land, that is a fact based upon costuming standards. If I say the parks are dirtier because food and beverage used to be prohibited from being brought in, but now is actively encouraged (I can't believe it, but I actually saw this in a current WDW brochure). Or that attractions and queues are dirtier because you can now bring food and drink into line with you, I would guess you'd agree with all that ... so are we on the same page?
