I used to travel for a living, and have spent time in all 50 states. I can have a great time in any city if I want to, and I'm sure Orlando has plenty to offer. But I only get so many days off each year, and there's just no desire to spend any of them in just a city. I go to Orlando to visit WDW, and I go to L.A. to visit DL (and family), and I go to Idaho to visit family. And that pretty much takes up my alotted vacation time. I'm planning on retiring in the Orlando area, and I'm sure I'll take advantage of all the great things your fine city has to offer. Till then, I don't see myself leaving Disney property on a vacation visit - there's still so much on property I haven't done yet!

Particularly if the list is for interesting cities - Tokyo is so varied that it is a destination by itself, and personally I could live in Paris (the fact that there is a theme park nearby is just icing on the cake!)

Easy to explain, not a fan of French food or culture -- not because of the en vogue hate the French thing going on now, just because it doesn't do a thing for me compared to the cities I named. My background is German and Austro/Czech and my parents were first generation U.S. -- so that culture is very near and dear to me, hence two of the 3 cities I picked. London to me is amazing culturally. I do not have Tokyo on there as it was too crowded for my taste in the only two visits I made there....both on business and therefore I had little time for sightseeing..not that I didn;t like it, just again not in comparison to the 3 I picked. I have never been to Hong Kong ( although I would like to go) so I have no first hand knowledge ... hope that explains, not dissing your choices but I am very comfortable with mine
