The Ancient Hebrews felt pretty hopeless, until the Red Sea parted. The Apostles felt pretty hopeless on Good Friday . . . but then Easter came. With neither the bandwidth nor the iron to work from home (and customers who can only be reached from the office IP address) I, too, go into the office every day (including Sundays, so that I can use the office Internet connection to stream church services from across the country; this morning, I made a digital round trip from California to Washington National Cathedral [and boy were my bits tired!]), but since I'm literally the only one in the building, I'm actually more isolated than I am at home. If it weren't for LP, FPN, and TrekBBS, I'd likely go even more nuts than I already am, from loneliness.
I've been feeling rather Eeyore-ish lately myself, but Christopher Robin actually sums up what I need to remember succinctly. Not always easy to believe in these times, but it's still true. I'm glad we have this little part of the internet to support one another. Stay safe my friends!
Okay, actually I am sick of hearing this. Especially from rich celebrities who live in mansions with swimming pools, tennis courts, home gyms, home theaters etc. etc. etc.
You know what is sounding really good right now? Besides getting hugs from family and friends... A Matterhorn macaroon would really hit the spot right about now!!!
I have never had one but it looks delish! The dessert plate from when they did the Tomorrowland night thingy up on the Innovations terrace. Tasted as good as it looks and there was unlimited hot cocoa.
The final contestant on tonight's Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire marks the very first time a "celebrity" I'd never heard of brought along an assistant (Buzzy Cohen, from Jeopardy!) I recognized instantly.
Oooh...how about the red beans with rice and andouille sausage from French Market while you're listening to the band play? So sad it's not on the menu anymore...
Don't know how long I can reminisce about Disneyland without totally losing it but: I WANNA BE THERE!!!! With my grandchildren.
This is the first time in years that I have missed May the fourth *be with you day!!! Shows how totally out of it I am.
Have you watched Rise of Skywalker yet? They just started streaming it this week. It's a decent watch. I'm glad that I got a chance to see it in the theatre though...come to think about it...that was the last movie I saw in the theatre...
After a terrible experience ordering baby chicks; (Out of 25, 18 were dead or dying.) we got our new order. (The company was very accommodating and replaced them all for free.) Happily this batch was well and happy.
