Merry Christmas to all of my LP family. Best of wishes for the New Year...may it be better than this year has been!
I don't just despise glitter in, on, or anywhere near my food ("Disco dust is NOT Good Eats!"); I despise glitter PERIOD. My dad found an unused box of Christmas cards around the house for this year, and they dropped glitter all over the kitchen table. I ultimately had to use a lint-roller to clean it up.
Have you seen this guy? He takes glitter to a whole new level!! He also has a thing for building squirrel obstacle courses.
Have been gone a few days. Took some time to clean my mother-in-law's place and now we have just about talked ourselves into moving up there! It is up out of the Valley and the view, while not ideal, is at least trees and green mostly instead of concrete and a freeway. We shut off her cable and WiFi so will have to get something up there. Not sure what is available but she was paying through the nose for her service. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year's. We will be at home and our daughter is bringing over some good Italian food and I am making cheesecake. We should be good for at least a movie and then some games.
Oh. That. Seen one or two of his "booby-trapped package" porch-pirate bait videos. My understanding is that he used glitter-bombs in his booby-trapped packages because they were an obnoxious pain in the <E. asinius> for anybody caught in the fallout, and potentially painful if it got in their eyes, but generally harmless. In short, his reason for using glitter is one of my reasons for despising the stuff. And remember: "Disco dust is NOT Good Eats!"
Within the past couple of days, it occurred to me that we have two COVID-19 vaccines in use in the U.S., and a third in clinical trials, and potentially more on the way, and the developers of those vaccines are behaving in a spirit of civil cooperation that is a far-cry from the bitter feud between Jonas Salk and Albert Sabin over their respective polio vaccines (a feud that was, if anything, even more vindictive than the feud between Edison, on the one side, and Tesla and Westinghouse on the other side, over how to transmit electricity).
Last night Bernie was waiting for us to get home! My daughter found him protecting their garbage cans.
Hmm. Bernie Sanders memes?!? Never heard of such a thing. But it brings back fond memories of the "Tourist Guy" memes of nearly two decades ago. (Note that he was able to beam off safely before the crash.)
This falls under the category of "things that ought to be clickbait features, but aren't . . . yet (at least as far as I'm aware). 20 movies that, today, you would never imagine were released with G ratings: 2001 Rio Lobo Planet of the Apes How the West Was Won Battle of Britain The Italian Job True Grit Funny Girl Airport What's Up, Doc?
