Miss Nancy was still holding the mirror and could now magically "see" you. It wasn't Industrial Light and Magic, but it was convincing to us tots back then. And on the times she would say your name -- "I see JEFF and Mary and Billy..." it was freaky!

I loved that and from then on my friends and I would refer to Coke as "swill," as in "hand me a swill," or "you want 7-Up or swill?" We still drank it, mind you, but it was both a little in-group slang like most groups of friends develop and maybe somewhere in the back of our minds a reminder that we shouldn't overdo it. Of course, we still overdid it.

He kept going to the end and did not seem to have suffered long. Now, when Bobby Darin died at 37; I was heartsick. And I have never gotten over John Lennon being struck down just as he was getting it back together. But such a full life needs to be celebrated. I am just so happy that I did get to meet him. And his shows are available online. I have wanted to get some of them. And I have to add: >>> Do be a DO Bee!<<< Don't be a Don't Bee!
